Parking
Two cars fit, one behind the other
Park tandem, nose to tail, and stay very close to the brick wall along the side of the house.
Car too big to fit comfortably? Park it up the street at our house, right in front of the small trailer.
Housekeeping
House Rules
No shoes in the house
Please leave your shoes by the front door — slippers are welcome inside.
No wipes down the toilet
Even "flushable" wipes can clog the pipes — please toss them in the trash bin instead.
Good To Know
Using the Bidet
The upstairs toilet is a bidet, controlled by the remote on the wall beside it. It looks like a lot of buttons — but you really only need these five.

Stop
Press this anytime to stop the wash or dry — good to know before you try anything else.

Rear Wash
Standard cleansing wash from behind.

Lady Wash
A gentler, front-facing wash.

Warm Air Drying
Dries you off when you're done — no tissue needed.

Flush
Two flush buttons on the base of the toilet — either one works.
Water pressure and temperature are already set to something comfortable — no need to touch anything else on the remote.
Not feeling the bidet? Totally fine — regular toilet paper flushed down the toilet works too. The seat and lid can be opened or closed with the remote, or just by hand. There's also a regular toilet downstairs next to the kitchen, if you'd rather use that.

Staying Comfortable
Bedrooms & Climate Control
There are three bedrooms, each with its own ceiling fan. Beyond that, cooling comes from three separate units around the house.
Kitchen — downstairs A/C
A window unit in the kitchen keeps the main floor cool.
Upstairs hallway — next to the bathroom
A second window unit covers the upstairs hallway and nearby bedrooms.
Master bedroom — floor unit
The master bedroom has its own standalone floor A/C unit.

Things To Do
Take in the mountain view
The house looks right out over Mount Nittany — best enjoyed with a cup of coffee, any time of day.
Wander the backyard
There's a beautiful view right out back too — worth a slow walk around before you head out.
Walk up to the bench on the hill
Follow the path all the way to the top and you'll find a bench waiting for you.
Millbrook Marsh Nature Center
A nice, easy walk through wetlands and trails — a peaceful way to spend an hour.
Leave your phone behind. Just sit, and listen to the birds.
